NEXTROLES · CV AND CAREER SUPPORT

Check your CV against the job you want.

NextRoles Job Check compares your CV with a job advert so you can see which requirements have supporting evidence and which need attention. Use the feedback to make a more relevant CV, cover letter and application.

A CV check tied to a real role

A good CV for one role can leave important questions unanswered for another. Job Check starts with the employer’s requirements and the experience you provide, helping you focus your edits on the application in front of you.

Find relevant evidence

Review the experience and skills that support the job requirements. Make strong examples easier for an employer to find.

Spot gaps before applying

Identify requirements that need a clearer example or further preparation. Missing evidence may mean your CV needs more detail; it does not always mean you lack the skill.

How to check your CV

  1. Add the job advert by pasting the description or uploading a supported file. You can also try a job-page link; if the site blocks it, paste the text instead.
  2. Add your CV and review the comparison.
  3. Check the feedback against the original advert and your experience.
  4. Improve your examples, then prepare a tailored cover letter and application answers.

For example, if an advert asks for teamwork and your CV only lists job titles, add a short example of coordinating work with others. Use accurate details about your contribution.

For first jobs and work experience

Work experience mode focuses on school, hobbies, skills and potential when you have little formal employment history. Describe what you have actually done rather than trying to make your CV sound like someone with years of experience.

CV checker questions

Is the result an employer’s ATS score?

No. The feedback is NextRoles’ comparison of the material you supply. It does not reproduce an employer’s applicant tracking system or guarantee an interview.

Do I need the full job description?

The more complete the advert, the more context the check has. Include responsibilities and requirements rather than only the job title.

Does NextRoles apply for the job?

No. You review and edit your application, then submit it through the employer’s own process.
